Hello friends and family of Summit!

I love that I have received so many warm welcomes already!  Even so, I want to introduce myself.  My name is Kali Sheldon and I am so thrilled to join the Summit team as your music teacher!  I am a graduate of the Cherry Creek School District having attended Highline Elementary, Prairie Middle School, and Overland High School.  I completed my undergraduate degree in Music Education at Western State Colorado University in Gunnison, CO where I got plenty of fresh mountain air.  I come to Summit with three years of experience from another Cherry Creek Elementary School.

Now for some fun facts about Ms. Sheldon.  I am a tuba player, I love the mountains, and I love birds!  Most importantly, you should know that I am looking forward to getting to know each and every one of you!  It's going to be a great year in music!  If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me or stop by the music room.

PIANO PLAYER NEEDED! - Do you play piano or know someone with piano skills?  The choir is in need of a volunteer accompanist.  If you're interested or know someone who might be, please, contact Ms. Sheldon.

Students are encouraged to eat breakfast before arriving to choir. Students who eat breakfast at Summit will be able to do so at 8:30 AM.

Dear Parent/Guardian,

This year, all 4th and 5th graders have the opportunity to participate in the choir program.  Choir is open to any child who wishes to participate!  If your child would like to be a part of choir, please fill out the bottom of this sheet and have your child return it to me by Thursday, September 22nd.  Please, keep the top half of this sheet for personal reference.

Choir is offered Wednesdays before school from 8:00-8:40 in the music room.  Students can enter through the main doors as early as 7:50 and come directly to the music room.    If your student attends BAC, please ensure that you fill out all necessary paperwork with them so they can release your student for choir.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns regarding choir at Summit, feel free to contact me!

*Concert dress is black bottoms and white tops or a black/white dress.

*Please have your child attend school in concert dress on 12/8.

**In the case of a delayed start, choir will be cancelled.

Rehearsal and Performance Schedule

12/8 – CONCERT* @ 2:15 AND 6:30 in the gym

I give my child ___________________________________ permission to participate in the Summit Elementary Choir Program.

I can attest that my child will be able to make rehearsals on time and will be at all performance dates.  I understand that if my child is chronically tardy or misses more than three rehearsals that he/she may be pulled from performances.
